After joining the regional group, you will receive our events and activities newsletter via email which will include booking links.
We have regular guided walks throughout the year. Some walks are suitable for those with mobility issues, whereas others include steep slopes and rough terrain and will therefore require a suitable degree of fitness.
We hold a range of visits to members' gardens to encourage the exchange of ideas and to enjoy catching up with fellow members. Come along to learn more about nature, often accompanied by tea and cake.
Our events include dawn choruses on Amberley Wildbrooks, introductions to birdwatching at RSPB Pulborough Brooks, accessible events with coffee and cake at The Sportsman pub in Amberley, winter floodplain watching, and day trips to the SWT reserve at Rye Harbour.
We hold informative evenings, always well attended, to engage the public. These events are about a specific topic that we aim to highlight, such as the health of the River Arun, gardening for nature, or swifts.
Come and join us throughout the summer as we go searching for these enigmatic nocturnal mammals. Because humans are not gifted with the ability to see in the dark or to echo-locate, we bring along bat detection equipment. No experience necessary, and you can join us for as few or as many events as you like.
